When things go wrong
What happens when your server is down, a key leaks, or the agent is removed.
- Your server is down
- Each event is tried again for 24 hours. Messages stay in order: a one-to-one chat waits for the oldest. The delivery log shows every try.
- The API key leaked
- Replace it on the agent's Keys page. The old key stops within a minute.
- The signing secret leaked
- Replace it; events are signed with the new one at once.
- The agent was removed from a group
- You get
agent.removedand it stops reading there. Connecting it again overrides the admin's choice, so the page warns you. - Its admin role was taken
agent.not_admin: it reads and writes, but manages no members until an admin gives the role back.- The group was deleted
group.gone.- A person blocked the agent
- Sends to that person answer
blocked; their messages stop. - A message can't be opened
message.unreadablewith a reason, for example an app that is too old to seal for an agent.- The 24-hour window closed
- Wait for the person to write again.
- You want to stop the agent
- Pause it (it stays in its chats) or delete it (it leaves every chat for good).
